Titusville, Pa.—Homerwood.com is the place to go for information on the mill’s products and programs, with a newly designed site to be user-friendly, navigable, and a resource to consumers and the flooring industry.
According to Dawn McElfresh, the manufacturer’s product manger, a consumer-centric marketing approach produced educational tools such as product searches by color, surface treatment or collection; detailed, visual zoom options; product links to room scenes, and practical decorating ideas.
HomerWood’s history, and environmental sustainability commitment is also viewable through the site. The pledge outlines stewardship of the forests to manufacturing processes in its plant here, which recently received Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody certification.
“The idea behind this site was to capture what we’ve learned about what our consumers want and what our retailers need, and guide consumers so they can confidently narrow their selection,” McElfresh said. “The Internet is often the first place a consumer will research products before a purchase.”
