HomeNewsTrends Hub returns to Surfaces 2013

The Trends Hub will return to Surfaces 2013 as the best place to discover the future of flooring and surfaces. Attendees will get a unique preview of the major color, texture, material and styling trends for 2013. Sponsored by Floor Focus, the Trends Hub will have an R&D laboratory theme with an inspiring presentation of the latest products from exhibitors alongside a unique preview of the major color, texture, material and styling trends.

The Eco-Lab zone will debut in the Trends Hub in 2013. This area will display product innovations that have green credentials.

Victoria Redshaw of the United Kingdom, lead trend forecaster and managing director at Scarlet Opus, conceptualized, designed and will be curating the Trends Hub.

“Forecasting trends is scientific as a process. It’s like an equation but has a reasonably guaranteed outcome. We do incredible amounts of research and translation analysis of hundreds and hundreds of pieces of information and we bring that all together to make our forecast,” said Redshaw. “The Trends Hub is where you can find the best of the best at Surfaces. If you only have a couple of hours to see the show, these are the real gems and the must-see products that we believe must not be missed.”

In addition to seeing the hottest new trends, “Live in the Hub” will give attendees the opportunity to join featured designers for 15-minute presentations revealing a roundup of the trends and products at the following times:

Tuesday, January 29

11:00am – Erinn Valencich

1:00pm – Annette Callari

3:00pm – Victoria Redshaw

The Trends Hub will also be the perfect place on the show floor to take a break, hold a meeting or catch-up on calls and emails – comfortable seating booths and a long laboratory bench will provide space for attendees to relax.
