Dalton—Tandus Centiva, a Tarkett company, has received ISO 14001-2004 Certification for its manufacturing facility in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. This facility joins its others in Calhoun Ga.; Florence, Ala., and here with ISO 14001 Certification. ISO 14001 is a third-party certification that requires an organization to establish, document and continuously improve an Environmental Management System (EMS), a set of processes and practices that involves maintaining environmental compliance with regulations and measuring reporting on environmental metrics. It enables an organization to reduce its environmental impact and increase its operating efficiency with a goal of continuous improvement.
“At Tandus Centiva, we are committed to making a positive contribution to the world in which we live and work,” said Erin Istanbulluoglu, director of environmental & social stewardship, Tandus Centiva. “Quality, transparency and environmental responsibility are key components in all that we do from product design to production to customer service.”
