CDMS calculates more referrals

HomeNewsCDMS calculates more referrals

SICKLERVILLE, N.J.—Many companies not only request referrals from their customers, they work out programs in which the person is paid a commission for successful referrals. These usually include builders, designers and architects, to name a few.

While this can be a win-win situation for both parties, accurately figuring out the commission can be a headache. Not anymore for users of CDMS’ new version 9.00.00 soft- ware program. The builder commission feature tracks, calculates and reports any customer referral com- missions to be paid.

Cathy Welsh, CDMS’ operations manager, said the feature can be turned on through a control file set- ting in the software. Once activated, builder commission codes that rep- resent a percentage of the sale price from the builder who gets the referral commission are created. These codes are then entered on a customer work order.

“Once the customer work order is invoiced,” she explained, “a special builder commission report can be subtotaled by builder number which includes the customer work order number, total sale amount, com- mission percentage and commission amount to be paid.
