Home News Anderson expands in 2011; new products and retailer incentives

Fountain Inn, S.C.—Anderson is suiting up retailers for a successful Spring selling season with several new introductions, Spring “Show and Sell” promotion at 2011 regional markets, and pallet rebates on the Anderson American Express Rewards card.

Don Finkell, Anderson president and CEO of Shaw Hardwood said, “At Anderson, we’re working with Shaw to partner with the retailer, offering the most innovative, stylish products and technology to satisfy the consumers’ desires—and deliver great value.”

Anderson is offering several introductions ranging from copaiba to red and white oak to maple, including four new products, along with additions to Anderson’s Appalachian and Virginia Vintage brands.

Brevard is 3/8” engineered hybrid maple on an enCore base in four color options, with hammered, contoured texture and satin gloss. Lakewood, a ¾” solid red and white oak offered in four colors, has a soft scrape with four sided bevel and low gloss. Ridgeline, also a ¾” solid in Red and White Oak, features a smooth face with four sided bevel in six color options with satin gloss. These introductions feature a 30-year finish warranty and Lakewood features a 50 year warranty.

For Anderson’s Appalachian brand, four new introductions take the stage with Southern Vista, Eagleton, Sugar House and new colors added to Hermosa.

Hermosa is an engineered copaiba, manufactured in Paraguay and finished in the USA. This existing product has a smooth face with satin gloss and is offered in two new colors.  Also a Copaiba manufactured in Paraguay and finished in the USA is Southern Vista, a 5-inch wide, 3/8-inch thick engineered, exclusive contour scraped product available in four colors. Eagleton, available in a 2 ¼” strip or 3 1/4” plank, is offered in six colors in solid red and white oak, highlighted with smooth face with a four-sided bevel, and finished with a satin gloss.

Sugar House, a ¾” solid, also available in four colors, is made of solid maple and features a soft-scrape with four sided bevel. This product features a low gloss and Luster Lock Ultra scuff and abrasion resistant finish, extending the benefits to a 50-year finish warranty.

Rounding out the new products for 2011 includes Lakewood, featured in Anderson’s Virginia Vintage brand. Lansdowne is offered in four colors of solid red and white oak. Handcrafted with beveled edge, the product is enhanced with a low gloss. Landsdowne also boasts the new Luster Lock Ultra finish, utilizing a 50-year finish warranty.

Brevard in the Anderson and Southern Vista in the Appalachian Brand all feature the new Contoured technology which allows both traditional and new textures to be produced faster and better.

Patagonian Pecan, a successful product launched in 2010, is an engineered Copaiba manufactured in Paraguay and finished in the USA. With smooth face and a satin gloss, this product is offered in three new colors.

During the 2011regional markets, retailers can take advantage of the “Show and Sell” Retailer Promotion that earns rewards points per carton of various Anderson products via Anderson American Express Rewards. Each reward point is worth $1.  The promotion starts March 1 and continues through April 15.

Retailers should speak with their Anderson representative for more information on the promotion.
