Lancaster, Pa.—Armstrong named Kevin Biedermann senior vice president of residential Armstrong floor products for North America.  Biedermann will be responsible for the residential go-to-market organization, including product management, design, customer service, sales, and marketing.

“It is such an exciting time to be at Armstrong. Given the current economic environment, it is difficult to foresee what will happen with demand for floor products,” Biedermann said. “However, I firmly believe that Armstrong is well positioned to win due to their strong brands, market position, and financial strength regardless of what happens in the market,”

Biedermann joined Armstrong in 2001 and most recently served as vice president of residential product management for Armstrong floor products. Prior to that he served as vice president of product management for laminate/IMA, where he increased sales, direct margins, operating income and market share significantly, before changing position as the vice president of commercial sales for Armstrong building products. Prior to joining Armstrong he held key management positions in the aerospace industry and spent 11 years with General Electric. Biedermann holds a bachelor’s in systems analysis from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

In addition, Allen Cubell has been named vice president of residential product management and will lead the product management and design teams as well as assume responsibility for the premium wood business.
