Myrtle Beach, S.C.—J.J. Haines held its 25th annual golf and fishing trip here from May 19 to 21. Haines had a near record attendance of over 70 customers and guests who enjoyed three great days of golf, fishing, relaxation and camaraderie.

While the event has changed slightly, the foundation of celebrating a fun-filled three days has not. “This has always been a great event and we have always tried to raise the bar each year for our customers to enjoy,” said John Cumbea, sales manager for J.J. Haines and coordinator of the event. “This year was no exception as we stayed at the plush Royal Palms Resort with ocean view rooms for all. 25 years ago, the event was just for the golfers, but now has something for everyone.”  Several years ago, Haines decided to set up two days of guided inland waterway fishing with light tackle.

“I love the Haines trip because of the friends I have made over the years,” said Mike Anders, owner of A&B Carpets in Zebulon, N.C. “Haines is not just a supplier but has become like family. This is a first class company, a first class trip and I plan to continue attending for years to come.”

Buddy Evans of Another Carpet II out of VA Beach, VA who was a first time attendee of this trip said “The Haines trip was one of the best golf trips I have ever attended and I’ve attended many.”

In celebration of 25 years, Haines kicked in some competition by adding $1,300 in prize money for the golf and fishing tournament. Bruce Zwicker, CEO of J.J. Haines announced at the dinner banquet Friday night that it would become an annual prize.

Cumbea summed it up by telling everyone, “We look forward to this trip every year, seeing some of our closest friends and business partners. We are already beginning to plan the 2012 trip!”
