SAUSALITO, CALIF.—How does a leading custom website provider to the flooring industry drive more leads for its dealers? Creating Your Space (CYS) is showing how with the launch of its expanded online marketing services.

CYS has created lead generating websites for hundreds of flooring stores, including a third of the country’s top 50 flooring retailers, noted Jay Flynn, vice president of sales and marketing. “These retailers chose Creating Your Space because of our ability to generate sales opportunities for them via CYS’ interactive tools and content, including a comprehensive custom product catalog, visualization tools, interactive quizzes and much more.”

Now Creating Your Space has formally announced its expansion into other areas of online marketing: search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, social media, directories, comprehensive marketing and brand development. “We’ve decided to get into these areas for the same reason we have expanded our products and services in the past—our customers are requesting them,” Flynn said.

He explained that dealers need support driving consumers to their websites via search engine optimization and PPC along with integrating social media into their website marketing and overall marketing plan. “We have been supporting each of these areas for several years, but our re-branding is the official launch of our complete online marketing program.”

Regarding this program, Flynn said CYS is in a unique position to add value to all aspects of dealers’ businesses because every full-time employee and most contract employees came from the flooring industry. “As we discuss online marketing strategies, we often get involved in logo/brand development, such as with Moda Floors & Interiors in Atlanta, or comprehensive programs such as the ‘Pierce Promise’ for Pierce Flooring in Montana.”

CYS will expand into these new areas by becoming proficient first. “As an example, we aligned with one of the leading SEO experts in the industry and started by providing free SEO services for almost a year to several of our dealers in the most competitive markets,” Flynn said. “We used that experience to build our knowledge prior to launching SEO for the balance of our dealers.”

These new services will be offered in various ways. “Although most of our customers begin as website customers and expand their business relationship with us from there, we have customers we only support with SEO, PPC and/or social media. We’re open to supporting any flooring company in any way that will help them find and engage more customers.”
