HomeNewsMannington voters reject union

Salem, N.J.— The union election held at Mannington Mills today has resulted in an overwhelming and resounding ‘no’, which indicates that Mannington will continue to be union-free. The results of this election were:   204 votes against the union; 70 votes for the union; and 25 challenged ballots.  This result is pending NLRB official certification, which is expected to come in the next two weeks.

“This vote is not only a vote for a union-free workplace, but it is a vote of confidence in Mannington,” said Keith Campbell, chairman of the board.  “During this process, some things were brought to our attention that need to be addressed.  Once the results are certified by the NLRB, we look forward to attending to these issues and moving Mannington forward.”

Keith Campbell represents the fourth generation of family ownership of Mannington Mills. The company has been headquartered in Salem County since its founding in 1915.
