HomeNewsSURFACES rewards two top floor covering distributors at 2012 show

The show floor at SURFACES 2012 definitely had more hustle and bustle with steady traffic comprised of quality buyers looking to do business, thanks in part, to two of the floor covering industry’s top distributors.

Butler Johnson Corporation and All Tile Inc. were awarded the SURFACES 2012 Distributor Program top prize, both receiving $10,000 cash for registering and bringing more than 300 retailers to the show, held January 24-26 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas.

The SURFACES 2012 Distributor Program offered floor covering distributors the opportunity to register their retailers for free exhibits admission to the show. In addition, SURFACES provided distributors with marketing kits aimed at assisting them in promoting the show to their customers and colleagues in the industry. The kits included point of purchase materials, printed buyer invitations and registration forms as well as an electronic code for use in email promotions.

“All Tile threw a lot of support behind this program by promoting it through snail mail, email, our website, and bulletins,” saidMark Haberman, Director of Marketing, All Tile. “We were proud to have brought over 200 customers to the convention on All Tile’s “Taking The (Flooring) Dealers To Vegas” program, which is probably the largest group we’ve ever managed to put together. This program and the way we worked together with the show truly moved the needle.”

“We feel that it’s very important for our retailers to attend SURFACES especially as we begin to come out of these difficult economic times,” added Clay Covington, vice president of sales, Butler Johnson. “There’s no better venue in our industry for retailers to meet with distributors and manufacturers to preview new products and trends, attendeducational workshops, network with other dealers, and take advantage of special pricing and other incentives to buy at the show. Many of our buying group customers made a point to attend their own convention as well as the SURFACES show this year.”

SURFACES will continue the program in 2013 and encourages all floor covering distributors to participate. For more information contact Kelly Cooper, Marketing Manager, SURFACES at kcooper@hanleywood.com.

SURFACES will be held January 29-31 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV and will co-locate with StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas. Exhibits will be open Tuesday – Thursday and the Education Program opens Monday, January 28 and goes through Thursday.
