Carlestadt, N.J.— Momeni has bolstered its Momeni Concepts custom program with the appointment of Douglas Tashjian as custom program director, a newly created position. This comes as the company expands this program, which will be shown next month at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market.

A longtime area rug veteran, Tashjian has worked in management positions with Tufenkian and Megerian Carpets. Most recently, he managed Floorworks, Inc., a custom rug company with a focus on Nepalese development.

“Douglas is a well-known talent in this industry, being able to add him to our team will bring our Momeni Concepts custom program to a new level. Making beautiful rugs has been his life’s work,” said Reza Momeni, president.

Next month, Momeni will showcase the updated program, which will feature custom development from all over the world, including China, India, Nepal and North America. Momeni Concepts was first launched in January 2010.

“Today’s higher-end customer expects a certain level of service, including personalization and premium quality,” said Momeni. “Momeni Concepts is the natural extension of Momeni’s commitment to servicing this segment with excellent service, value and quality.”
