Dallas — As the SURFACES 2013 space draw comes to a close, it’s clear that the industry is looking forward to the remainder of 2012 and what 2013 holds in store with a renewed sense of optimism. With the initial space assignment complete, along with the onsite sales effort at the 2012 event, SURFACES is already 87% sold out with several new companies reserving space as well as numerous companies expanding their space in preparation for a solid year of sales success.

“This has been one of the most exciting space draw assignments that we’ve had in many years,” commented Amie Gilmore, Show Manager, SURFACES. “We are currently well ahead of where were at this time last year in terms of square footage reserved with 23,000 NSF over 2012 and with the number of companies confirmed in the show with 47 more than 2012.”

Some of the new and returning companies after a brief absence include: Metroflor, IVC, IndusParquet, Compotite, Coversource, Dynamic Displays, Aqua Blast, BambooTrim.com, RPS, Royal Mat, Turtle Plastics, WF Taylor, Excellence Floors.

“In recent years, W.F. Taylor elected to not participate in SURFACES and concentrate our efforts at targeted distribution,” said Jack Raidy Jr., President, W.F. Taylor. “However, after visiting this year’s show and seeing the increased level of participation by both exhibitors and attendees, we have decided to return to the show and display our numerous technologically advanced products that we have added to our product line in the past few years.”

Companies increasing their size from the 2012 show are: Dreamweaver, Future Foam, Miracle Sealants, DuChateau Floors, Kane Carpet, Provenza Floors, Inc., Healthier Choice, Pravada Floors, Godfrey Hirst, Hallmark Hardwoods, Johnson Premium Hardwoods, Preverco, and Marme Canada.

Many of the anchor companies will also have a strong presence on and off the main show floor including: Mannington, Beaulieu, Western Regional Product Show by Mohawk, Armstrong, Tarkett/Johnsonite, All Tile, Alloc, Kronotex/Formica, Home Legend and US Floors.

In addition, many of the targeted pavilions on the show floor are either sold out or within a few booth spaces shy of selling out. The Connections Pavilion, featuring companies in the cleaning and restoration sector, is one booth away from selling out and Tool Alley, which was brand new in 2012, has only five spaces available.
