Easton, Md. – Decorating Den Interiors created a new website showcasing award-winning room makeovers from this year’s International Dream Room contest. The site (www.decoratingden.com/showcase/2012) features winning interior designs judged by an esteemed panel of international home furnishings journalists.

“These makeovers were done within real budgets for real homeowners,” said Carol Donarye Bugg, ASID, DDCD, vice president for design and author. “As the best of nearly 200 entries, these room designs can provide ideas for making one’s home more beautiful and inviting as we move into the time of year in which we spend more time indoors.”

The website features the top three designs in each of 12 categories: living rooms, family rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, children’s rooms, bathrooms, home offices, window treatments, outdoor spaces, commercial spaces and miscellaneous.

The website also introduces the contest’s top three award winners:

  • Decoratng Den’s top design honor, Decorator of the Year, went to interior decorator and business owner Lynne Lawson and her decorator Laura Gonzalez of Columbia, Md., who won in two categories—bedroom and window treatment.
  • The Donayre Award, named after the DDI vice president for design, Carol Donayre Bugg, went to interior decorator and business owner Sharon Binkerd of Fort. Lauderdale, Fla.
  • The People’s Choice Award, voted for in the company’s first international online voting open to the public, went to interior decorator and business owner Kathie Golson of Orlando, Fla.

Decorating Den Interiors is North America’s largest home furnishings and interior design franchise company. Using its trademark ColorVan, DDI designers and decorators provide in-home shopping and design services by bringing an array of samples to the client’s home or office.
