Dibujo Tinta, the artwork featured on the rug design above, was originally created by Chillida in 1957.

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, nanimarquina is pleased to introduce the Chillida Collection, featuring a chronological selection of work from renowned artist and sculptor Eduardo Chillida (1924-2002). The artwork of Chillida represents some of the greatest accomplishments of the arts in the late 20th century His work was an inspiration to Nami Marquina and the reason she became a designer. This collection was a tribute and an honor for Marquina, allowing her to work with Chillida’s family and bring his artwork to life in a new form. All of the works have been accurately translated onto the rugs, which are handmade using various techniques and different materials like wool, silk, and mohair to give texture and show the essence of Chillida’s work.
