Florence, Ala. — Centiva has promoted Doug Young to vice president of sales effective immediately. Following an announcement that Centiva will join forces with Tandus Flooring, Young was appointed to lead the Centiva sales team. Young joined Centiva in 2008 as Midwest regional sales manager and later became responsible for the northern United States.

“Doug has been a tremendous player in the Centiva organization over the last four years. He has gained the respect and support of his colleagues and I am confident that he will lead this team in continued success for the future,” said Thomas Trissl, president of Centiva.

Young will report to Glen Hussmann, president of Tandus, who will assume leadership of Centiva beginning April 1, 2013. “The Centiva sales team has done an outstanding job growing our business and Doug has been a big part of this effort. I’m happy to see him promoted to this important leadership position, fully endorsed by Thomas Trissl, and I’m looking forward to working with Doug as our team strives to enhance the flooring experience for our customers,” said Hussmann.

By joining these two brands, Tarkett will create a design-driven product portfolio, elevate service to its customers, and build on its existing commitment to sustainability. When asked about his new role, Young said, “I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to growing Centiva’s business as we enter into this new chapter with Tandus.” Young has worked in the flooring industry for more than 18 years and resides in Chicago.
