Calhoun, Ga.—Mohawk continues to receive top recognition for its commitment to training and continuing education. Training magazine, the business publication for learning and development professionals, has once again acknowledged Mohawk Industries as one of the “Top 125” training organizations.

This is the ninth consecutive year Mohawk has ranked on the elite list, which evaluates excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs. In last year’s “Top 125,” Mohawk was ranked eighth, receiving recognition for a multitude of corporate training initiatives.

One of the programs that sets the company apart from its competition is Mohawk University, the retailer education component which provides retailers with world-class training, education and business management resources. Celebrating its 20-year anniversary in 2014, Mohawk University will continue making the transition from a classroom learning experience to a world-class online training facilitator hosting hundreds of learning opportunities—all from the convenience of a computer.

“The fact that Mohawk consistently ranks at the top of Training magazine’s prestigious list is evidence of how important we consider training to be,” said Mike Zoellner, vice president of marketing services at Mohawk. “Over the past two decades, Mohawk University has made a name for itself by partnering with industry leaders to provide retailers with the best and most innovative training available.”

The Top 125 rankings are determined by assessing a range of factors, including the scope of development programs and how well those development initiatives help the organization achieve to business goals and objectives. In addition to Mohawk U, the company also excels in manufacturing, distribution and administrative training initiatives, which all underscore the company’s learning culture.

“Ultimately, Mohawk’s employee training programs are put in place to enhance the quality and service we deliver to our customers,” added Amanda Arnwine, director of training for Mohawk Industries. “Every year, Mohawk strives to make improvements to its employee training programs and this recognition confirms that we are continuing to make the right investments.”
