Dalton—Tandus Centiva, a Tarkett company and leader in North American flooring, and Philips, a global leader in lighting, have established partnership to launch Luminous Carpets, a patented solution, in the North American market. The seamless integration of LED and carpet into the commercial interior design market creates a unique and intuitive medium with flexible and dynamic content.

“Finally we can cater to the many requests we received from the U.S. since our European launch in 2014,” said Bernd Voelpel, venture manager for Luminous Carpets, Philips. “In Europe we have completed a number of successful projects and proved the added value of Luminous Carpets.”

Mausi McDaniel, vice president of marketing at Tandus Centiva, added, “Tandus Centiva is thrilled to launch Luminous Carpets in the North American market. Continuing on the forefront of innovation, this partnership reflects Philips and Tandus Centiva’s common goal to create meaningful solutions, while bringing a new level of design freedom to architects, designers and end users.”
