HomeNewsMohawk Industries makes Forbes’ America’s Best Large Employer list

Calhoun, Ga.—Forbes recognized Mohawk Industries again as one of America’s Best Large Employers. On the 2018 list, Mohawk ranked 405 out of all American companies employing at least 5,000 people, which makes the company the highest ranked in the flooring industry.

“We’re gratified that the men and women who work at Mohawk view their experience in such a positive light, and we are expanding the value proposition we offer them in return for their many contributions to the company’s growth and success,” said Phil Brown, Mohawk’s senior vice president of human resources. “With wellness benefits, many on-site clinics, a world-class safety record, award-winning training and apprenticeship programs and friendly, welcoming workplaces, we are focused on making Mohawk the best possible place for individuals to fulfill their professional potential while improving their quality of life.”

Each year, Forbes partners with leading research firm Statista to survey 30,000 Americans to collect their opinions about their employers. To build the Forbes rankings, Statista asked respondents to rate on a scale of zero to 10 how likely they were to encourage family members or friends to apply for a job at their organization, as well as what other companies they would recommend. Participation in the survey was voluntary, and respondents were recruited from thousands of sources to maximize reach and representation.

For years, Mohawk has focused on a holistic approach to meeting the needs of the company’s employees. Safety standards, comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement through nationally-recognized training and development programs create an environment where employees can thrive in current and future positions with the company. Mohawk leverages leading-edge technology to support customer demand for innovative products in all categories, which provides opportunities for advancement while also ensuring that everyone’s work makes a difference. Beyond the workplace, industry-leading sustainability practices and long-term community partnerships across the United States further reinforce Mohawk’s commitment to making the places where thousands of employees work and live better for everyone.
