Lancaster, Pa.—Armstrong Flooring is set to launch a program to ship free flooring samples directly to consumers, as well as new enhancements to its online Design-a-Room tool, in an effort to make it easier for homeowners to plan their next project while home.

“As people spend more time at home, it’s likely to spark ideas for their next home improvement project,” said Meredith Hafer, director, residential marketing, Armstrong Flooring. “We want to make it convenient for homeowners to keep those plans moving forward, with free samples delivered right to their door and easy-to-use online design tools.”

Armstrong Flooring will ship up to three flooring samples for free. Upgrades to the company’s online Design-a-Room tool are designed to make it more convenient to compare products and see how new flooring will look in the home. Customers can:

  • Upload a photo of their own room and apply different flooring options using quick, convenient autofill functionality
  • Compare the look of floors by sliding back and forth between side-by-side images
  • Change wall colors in the room, choosing from a selection of Sherwin-Williams paint colors

“Our Design-a-Room online tool has always been a great way for customers to get a sneak peek at how new flooring would look in their home,” said Amanda Wilkinson, digital strategy manager at Armstrong Flooring. “Now, we’ve enhanced it with new features to improve the visualization of new flooring. Plus, if you’d like to explore design inspirations in addition to your own room photo, we’ve added new room scenes to choose from.”

Design-a-Room offers a virtual look at how a home can be enhanced with Armstrong Flooring products including rigid core flooring, luxury vinyl tile, engineered tile and vinyl sheet.
