Coverings Awards 2021Arlington, Va.— Coverings, the largest international tile and stone exhibition and conference in North America, had extended the deadline to complete entry submissions for both the 2021 Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards and 2021 Rock Star Awards to March 26, 2021. The deadline for both Coverings awards competitions was extended to correspond with the recent rescheduling of Coverings 2021, which will take place July 7-9, 2021, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

“To date, we have received many impressive tile and stone project submissions for the CID Awards as well as several Rock Star nominations for talented individuals who continue to positively impact the industry,” said Jennifer Hoff, president of Taffy Event Strategies LLC, the event management firm for Coverings. “We are excited to receive additional entries and nominations prior to the deadline, and we look forward to showcasing some of the most exceptional tile and stone installations, designs and young industry leaders at Coverings 2021.”

The CID Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in the design and installation of tile and stone in residential and commercial projects. Submissions are open to architects, designers, builders, contractors, distributors, retailers, installers and other industry professionals who completed projects exemplifying spectacular tile and stone applications between January 2019 and December 2020. There is no cost to enter, and entries should be submitted through the CID Awards portal by or before the updated deadline. Multiple entries are encouraged. No submissions will be accepted after this date, and no extensions will be granted.

Submitted projects will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges and awarded based on excellence in execution, inspiring and original use and overall purpose. CID Award winners will receive a complimentary one-night stay in Orlando to attend Coverings 2021, where their projects will be recognized in an awards ceremony.

The Coverings Rock Star Awards honor emerging leaders in the tile and stone industry. Eligible candidates must be 35 years of age or younger and employed within one of the following professions: architect, designer, distributor, retailer, contractor/installer, fabricator, specifier, manufacturer and/or trade association personnel. Nominations must be submitted by the March 26 deadline, using the Coverings 2021 Rock Star nomination form. No nominations will be accepted after the deadline, and no extensions will be granted.

Rock Star nominees will be reviewed by a committee of industry leaders and evaluated based on experience levels; professional certifications or affiliations; previous awards or accolades; prior speaking engagements at industry events; quantity of published works; impact in the tile and stone industry; and what sets them apart as emerging leaders in the industry. Selected Rock Stars will receive a complimentary one-night stay in Orlando to attend Coverings 2021, where they will be celebrated for their achievements within the tile and stone industry.

Complimentary registration for Coverings 2021 is now open.
