Surfaces Preview: Exhibitors showcase newest offerings

HomeFeatured PostSurfaces Preview: Exhibitors showcase newest offerings

In-person flooring events have been few and far between since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020. However, signs of normalcy are returning everywhere in the U.S., and there is no surer sign of this in the flooring industry than the return of The International Surface Event (TISE), also known as Surfaces, the industry’s largest domestic show.

Surfaces will conduct an in-person trade show and conference June 16-18 in Las Vegas, where more than 150 flooring, stone and tile vendors will show their latest wares and connect with customers in this long-overdue gathering.

The following product preview provides a sampling of the new offerings that will be on display for three days at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center during Surfaces.

Provenza – Waterproof MaxCore

Surfaces preview

Provenza MaxCore expanded its popular Concorde Oak collection with six new modern and luxurious colors in 7- and 9-inch-long planks. Some of Provenza’s new wide plank colors have repeat patterns every 10 boards to provide customers an even more natural look of wood without so many repeats. Provenza MaxCore’s new and exclusive pattern design also features high-definition visuals scanned from Provenza’s most popular, best-selling hardwood collections.

Provenza – Volterra, Vitali and Pompeii Hardwood Floors

Surfaces

Provenza Wood Floors extended its color lines for three of its most popular, best-selling collections. Volterra will have 13 new colors, and Vitali Wide Plank will have 8 new colors with a polyurethane finish. Provenza’s Pompeii collection has been expanded to longer and wider planks, also with a polyurethane finish. The new colors are modern and contemporary to meet every taste and style. The new colors will be available in summer 2021. Visit Provenza at Surfaces in June, booth #3733.

i4F Digital Printing Technologies

Cutting-edge technologies immediately available via an i4F license enable the creation of unique designs and avoid unnecessary inventory on pre-printed materials. i4F’s strong digital printing portfolio now includes exclusive access to all Hymmen digital printing technologies, including its award-winning Digital Lacquer Embossing (DLE) technology offering unbelievably real optics and haptics. The patented technology achieves convincing results by printing a transparent liquid medium into a layer of non-cured core lacquer using Hymmen’s Jupiter technology. Combined physical and chemical reactions create deep, unique structures, enabling the EIR surface décors regardless of whether they are printed digitally or via an analog method.

3L TripleLock & Click4U

i4F’s patented technologies—3L TripleLock, a one-piece drop lock; and Click4U, an angle system for the long side combined with 3L Triplelock on the short side—provide faster installation than basic angle/angle system installations. No inserts or special tools are required as extremely high locking strength is delivered, allowing the system to work seamlessly with all materials, in all formats. i4F’s drop-lock technologies differ from other fold-down systems by integrating three locking moments into a profile that strengthens the vertical locking without sacrificing ease of installation. i-Click4U complements the company’s Click4U technology and exceeds all NALFA (North American Laminate Flooring Association) requirements relating to water resistant flooring, including the requirement that panels must withstand water for a minimum of 24 hours.

Muchsee Wood Maritime

Create Flooring by Muchsee Wood’s Maritime collection features the company’s magnesium stone polymer core (MSPC), which adds a great foundation to an already popular flooring category. Create’s MSPC core consists of magnesium oxide, which provides a stronger and more stable core. The structural innovation of the core aims to set a new standard for the flooring industry. Thanks to the strength and stability of the MSPC, Create Flooring can offer a product that can be placed in areas where temperatures are warmer without the threat of product shifting, which some SPC products experience. The MSPC is fireproof, waterproof and offers improved sound absorption qualities. The product is also environmentally friendly.

Vineyards

Create Flooring by Muchsee Wood is launching the Vineyards collection, a 1⁄2-inch European oak engineered floor featuring sliced veneer and a 2mm thickness. The collection is offered in 10 unique colors to provide a designer look—without the designer pricetag—and yet still meet every application. Muchsee Wood (booth #3223 at Surfaces) has two large factories in China as well as an office and warehouse in Georgia. Over the last 10 years, Muchsee Wood Inc., a USA registered corporation, has evolved as a major supplier to the North America flooring market. Its collections include MSPC, engineered wood, laminate, moldings and personal protective equipment (PPE) items like N95 face masks and medical hazmat suits.

Lions Floor Natural Essence

Natural Essence, featured with intricate hardwood aesthetics and the authentic finishing touch of natural wood, offers rich, distinct colors and textures with the latest registered embossing technology. Natural Essence, Lions Floor’s first EIR collection, along with Natural Essence Plus, represents both luxury and supreme craftsmanship and is crafted with the Greenguard Certified environmental standards. Flooring retailers tout the textured and registered embossing, which they say makes this SPC floor look like real wood.

Trenta

Lions Floor markets six collections in SPC (and one for laminate), all of which feature the Uniclic locking system and aluminum oxide finish. Bliss from the Trenta series, pictured here, is a step-up from Grande and Versa, two other SPC collections. Trenta is offered in 9 x 60 planks, 5mm thickness—including a 20-mil wear layer—and a 1.5mm EVA pad. The visuals are European oak with a painted bevel. According to the company, Trenta has been one of its best sellers because of its wide width. Eight SKUs are available in Trenta; retail prices range from $2.89 to $2.99.
