CEUSolon, Ohio—Tarkett has partnered with Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute (C2CPII) to bring the “Cradle to Cradle Certified: Powering the Shift to Healthy, Climate Positive and Equitable Products” CEU presentation to the A&D community on Wednesday, April 26 at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. EDT and is free to attend.

“We see sustainability as a collaborative effort, and net positive impacts, closed loops and a circular economy all depend on the materials you start with,” said Roxane Spears, vice president of sustainability, Tarkett North America. “Investing in industry-wide education offerings focused on holistic sustainability is just one way we can help support engaged discussion and continuous learning for ourselves and the A&D community as a whole. We encourage all to take advantage of this inspiring presentation.”

The CEU presentation will be hosted by C2CPII’s Ren Decherney, NCID, LEED AP ID+C, IIDA and will cover the newly launched Cradle to Cradle Certified Version 4.0. Topics covered include the building industry’s impact on the climate, environment and people. Attendees will be introduced to the new Cradle to Cradle Certified standard, which includes material health, climate, water and soil stewardship, circularity and social fairness. Participants will learn how they can use the new standard to optimize product specification on any project. The course is accredited by AIA, IDCEC and GBCI.

Tarkett said its sponsorship of the C2CPII education series is in alignment with the company’s leadership in product lifecycle transparency. In 2022, Tarkett had 19 Cradle to Cradle (C2C) certifications globally, covering a wide range of product categories, including carpet, linoleum, rubber, wood and artificial turf.
