Välinge Innovation’s newly launched PRO technology effectively addresses the challenges of longevity and locking strength in modern resilient products. The market’s positive response clearly shows that this solution has been long-awaited.
Välinge’s PRO technology offers an easy and effective way to optimise all types of resilient products. With an upgraded profile on the long side, this locking technology enhances the overall performance of the floor. This means resilient products can achieve up to 2X stronger vertical connections and significantly increased durability simply by upgrading the long-side profile.

Locking system for improved performance
For resilient products such as LVT, SPC and WPC to achieve the desired strength and durability, the installation system needs to be well-adapted. Both flooring manufacturers and customers have experienced issues with locking strength, durability and engagement related to the new generation of resilient products.
“The industry has faced frustration with the vertical strength of panels both during and after the installation of new resilient products,” Prada said. “This was the problem our brilliant engineers set out to solve when they developed the innovative PRO Performance concept.”
The new installation technology successfully optimises resilient products and is available in three different variants: 2G PRO, 5G-i PRO and 5G PRO. This means the performance of angling, push-down and fold-down installations can be easily improved.
Välinge introduced the new technology earlier this year and has already signed several new licensing agreements with manufacturers eager to start producing with the new technology. Prada confirmed the great interest and said several large flooring manufacturers with an international market are very interested in the PRO technology.
Among them are Walrus, a reputable flooring manufacturer specialising in resilient products. The company recently revealed that it will deepen its collaboration with Välinge and start using the high-performing installation technologies 2G PRO, 5G-i PRO and 5G PRO in its products.
Another new PRO licensee is flooring manufacturer Eagle, majority-owned by Hawk Machinery, the globally recognised manufacturer of flooring production equipment. The company is preparing to launch its own production of high-quality SPC flooring and chose Välinge’s PRO technology to ensure the premium results it is looking for.
