Lancaster, Pa.—Armstrong Flooring’s bio-flooring Migrations and Striations BBT with Diamond 10 Technology won a Top Product of the Year Award from the Environment + Energy Leader Awards program.

Migrations and Striations BBT with Diamond 10 Technology deliver a sustainable, PVC-free flooring solution combining biophilic design, reduced maintenance and long-term performance. The award recognizes Armstrong Flooring for its efforts to redesign its BBT using lifecycle assessment to further reduce the global warming potential (GWP) associated with the product during its use or maintenance phase. The program’s expert judges said Armstrong Flooring’s BBT with Diamond 10 Technology was a top example of the exemplary work being done today in the fields of energy and environmental management.

“Our BBT product has the lowest carbon footprint of any flooring product in our portfolio,” said Amy Costello, sustainability manager for Armstrong Flooring. “It’s exciting that our team’s efforts to understand, redesign and further reduce the global warming impacts of BBT are being recognized.”

The Environment + Energy Leader Awards is a program recognizing excellence in products and services that provide companies with energy and environmental benefits, and in projects implemented by companies that improved environmental or energy management and increased the bottom line.

Armstrong Flooring was formally recognized as a Top Product of the Year winner during the virtual 2020 Environment + Energy Leader Awards Summit on June 21, 2020.
