MELBOURNE, AUSTRAILIA—Dewevai Buchanan, most recently vice president of Mohawk’s wood products division, has been named president, North America of Australia-based Style.

Buchanan brings with him more than over 20 years of experience in the North American flooring market. He has been director of sales and marketing for Kährs and vice president of sales and marketing for Award Hardwood Floors. Over the course of his career he has managed leading brands as well as national account channels such as Home Depot, Lowe’s and Lumber Liquidators.

“Buchanan is a highly experienced and respected executive in the flooring industry with a proven track record of delivering growth through a multi-channel expansion strategy for one of the leading flooring companies in the world,” said Peter Torreele, CEO of Style. “His indepth knowledge of the market will be invaluable for Style to deliver on our ambitious expansion plans in the North American market.”

Buchanan joins a Style team that has been significantly strengthened over the last 12 months, which includes Chris Cox, who joined as U.S. sales director last September.
