Atlanta—Invista, maker of Antron carpet fiber, announced a call for entries for all of the Antron Carpet Fiber Design Award programs including:

  • The 25th Antron Carpet Fiber Design Award
  • The 6th Antron Carpet Fiber Sustainable Flooring Performance Award
  • The 11th Antron Carpet Fiber Product Innovation Award
  • The first Antron Carpet Fiber Match Award

“Our series of Antron Carpet Fiber Design Award programs give us the opportunity to recognize creative leadership in design, sustainability, product development and now marketing,” said Tracy Cook, global brand manager for Invista commercial flooring. “To celebrate our 25th design award competition, we will be honoring the winners of each award at a signature industry event in the spring of 2012.”

Architects and interior designers in the United States and Canada are invited to submit entries showcasing creativity in commercial interior design through the innovative use of carpet.  The award is open to all commercial interiors projects that feature installations of Antron carpet fiber in the United States and Canada completed after Sept. 1, 2009.  Entries will be accepted in the categories of Retail, Showroom, Education (K-12), Education (Higher Ed), Public Spaces/Institutional (such as airports, museums, convention centers, churches, libraries, and government non-offices), Large Office (over 35,000 square feet), Small Office (less 35,000 square feet), Healthcare and Hospitality (hotels, restaurants, spas, casinos, resorts).

Projects will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Creativity and originality of the carpet application
  • Overall design creativity and originality
  • How well the design met the client’s business objectives and challenges

The last day to submit entries is Friday, Sept. 30. Winners will be announced at a signature industry event in the spring of 2012.
