ST. LOUIS, MO.—Warren Tyler has joined the Floor Covering Institute (FCI), the international consulting group formed to serve the flooring industry.

Tyler is well known for his column which has appeared in Floor Covering News for more than 20 years and is also read in other industry media.  As a consultant, he works with retailers, manufacturers, distributors and buying groups helping them adapt to social and economic changes and to motivate and train their employees. He has written six best-selling industry books.  Among his titles are “Five Guideposts to Success;” “Real Customer Service;” “The Art of Selling Retail;” “Unleashing Your Selling Potential!” “The Amazing Power of Leadership,” and “Warren Tyler on Retail.” His new collaborative book is, “Yes! No! Maybe So!” which explores the effects of gender and color on shopping habits. He is recognized among his peers as one of the country’s leading sales educators.  Warren is owner of Motivation Plus.

“Since my mission is to professionalize the industry, it is a privilege and honor to align myself at FCI with some of the best and brightest minds in the industry. These are people I have admired for years,” Tyler said.

Jim Gould, founder of the Floor Covering Institute, believes that Warren’s passion for improving the floor covering industry is “strategically aligned with the mission of the institute. We are thrilled to have Warren join our group of industry experts. His focus on sales and retailing is critical to the success of the flooring industry and today’s market.”
