Tandus’ Change collection offers new size in modular

HomeNewsTandus' Change collection offers new size in modular

Dalton—Tandus Flooring’s Sero design technology revolutionized the way modular carpet is designed by thinking beyond the square. The Sero process begins with the Powerbond platform then transforms the design into modular. Now with the availability of an 18”x36” modular carpet, design is truly more than just a square.

The introduction of Sero design technology was highlighted with the Change Collection consisting of three innovative styles: Change, Nonconform and Factory Floor. Recognized with last year’s Best of NeoCon Editor’s Choice award, these styles visually illustrate the Sero design approach which emphasizes the design of the floor plane rather than the square.

“The Sero design approach is a break-through in designing flooring solutions,” said Tom Ellis, vice president of marketing, Tandus Flooring. “Sero has broken boundaries of design using purposeful variations with colors, patterns and textures, eliminating pattern fatigue in modular installations—because the Sero approach starts with Powerbond, not a square.”

The launch of Sero also introduced a unique and easy solution for installing large scale patterns to create a unified modular floor design: unidirectional. This same installation method is available with the 18”x36” modular along with herringbone and vertical ashlar, all of which demonstrate how the patterns, textures and colors flow, pool and shift from tile to tile, no matter what the size.

“The success of the Change collection and the 13 other current styles designed using the Sero approach has been remarkable,” added Ellis. “Launching another modular size selection is the natural evolution in delivering our customers with unique, innovative and easy-to-install products.”

The Change Collection in modular is available with four backing options including  ER3, our 100% recycled backing; ethos backing recycled from the film in safety glass and windshields; Flex-Aire for comfort and performance; and Conserv, which uses less non-renewable resources and weigh 25% less than standard modular carpet. Like all Tandus Flooring products, styles within the Change Collection are 100% recyclable through Tandus Flooring’s Infinity Initiative, the industry’s first closed-loop recycling program.
