Dalton—Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF) has announced new leadership for 2019. The foundation is the only charitable non-profit solely dedicated to helping floor covering families who face catastrophic medical events.
Charlie Dilks, chief product officer for CCA Global Partners,will serve as chairman of the board, and Scott Humphrey, CEO of the World Floor Covering Association,will serve as vice chairman. Howard Brodsky, co-founder, chairman and co-CEO of CCA Global Partners,previously served as the FCIF board chair and will now serve as chair of the nominating committee. Larry Nagle, president of N.L. Nagle Inc., and one of the original founders of FCIF in 1981, was serving as vice chairman and will now continue to serve as fundraising chairman.
Other FCIF executive committee members for 2019 include: Keith Campbell, chairman of the board for Mannington Mills, as treasurer; Tim Baucom, executive vice president, residential business, Shaw Industries, as corporate secretary; Roger Marcus, chairman and CEO, American Biltrite, grant distribution chair; and Dana Teague, group director, Informa Exhibitions.
In addition, the FCIF welcomed five new board members for the 2019-2021 term: David Gheesling, CEO, FEI Group; Kevin Jablon, president, Spartan Surfaces; Hoy Lanning, president and CEO, J.J. Haines; Bart Rogers, vice president sales and marketing at Roppe Holding Company; and Will Young, director of national accounts, Engineered Floors.
“This year has been record-setting both for grants and donations,” said Andrea Blackbourn, executive director, FCIF. “In 2018 we had 113 families reach out for assistance compared to 63 the prior year. In addition, we had a very successful donation drive, the Helping My Fellow Man campaign, chaired by Larry Nagle. We raised an additional $150,000 to meet the increase for floor covering families battling catastrophic medical obstacles.”
