BarberanBarcelona, Spain—Unilin Technologies, the IP and technology division of Mohawk Industries, partnered with Barberan to organize an exclusive open house event at Barberan’s facilities here earlier this week. The event, which drew attendees from around the world, provided visitors with valuable insights into the technical aspects of digital printing for the flooring industry, particularly for SPC and laminate products.

“We were thrilled to host this open house event with Unilin and showcase our new DeepBlue printing technology and our brand new facilities that were especially built for testing the production lines lines of the flooring industry,” said Dennis Van Ijzerloo, sales manager of Barberan. “The event was a great opportunity to exchange ideas and insights with professionals from around the world and demonstrate the potential of digital printing.”

The open house event also featured a tour of Barberan’s new buildings along with a demonstration of its state-of-the-art digital printing EIR machine. Launched earlier this year, the DeepBlue EIR printer impressed attendees with its speed, precision and versatility in producing high-quality, customizable flooring products. The demonstration showcased the potential for digital printing technology to revolutionize the flooring industry by enabling manufacturers to create unique and personalized designs while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Unilin and Barberan’s presentations focused on the return on investment of digital printing and market demand insights with input from key distributors around the world. According to Floris Koopmans, sales director-intellectual properties, Unilin Technologies, the event served as an excellent opportunity for attendees to gain valuable knowledge about the latest trends and innovations, as well as network with other professionals. He said it was a resounding success and demonstrated Unilin and Barberan’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of digital printing technology in the flooring industry.

“We look forward to continuing to drive innovation and collaboration in the flooring industry,” Ijzerloo added.
