LooseLayExport, Pa.—Karndean Designflooring has added 13 stylish new colorways to the popular LooseLay collection. Offering a unique combination of design versatility, easy installation and high-end performance, Karndean LooseLay aims to set the standard for commercial LVT.

At 4.5 mm thick, Karndean LooseLay transitions easily to most carpet tile. Engineered and manufactured for installation as a floating floor, the product also can be glued down if a project requires.

“Designers and architects continue to choose Karndean LooseLay for projects in a of range sectors,” said Jenne Ross, Karndean director of product. “It’s a floating floor that’s fast and easy to install while offering key benefits of glue-down flooring, including the ability to create zoning and wayfinding. We’re excited to offer an even greater variety of on-trend design options with these 13 new colorways.”

Engineered for performance

Since being named Best New Product at the 2012 NeoCon exhibition, Karndean LooseLay has delivered more than a decade of award-winning performance. With SureFit proprietary technology for extra dimensional stability, Karndean LooseLay can be installed without expansion gaps and transition strips. The K-Wave friction-grip backing holds the floor in place—adhesive is only required around a room’s perimeter—while reducing noise to lower floors in multi-story settings. The wavy construction of the backing also offers moisture dissipation for damp subfloors, potentially saving time required for drying in new-home construction.

“There’s so much to consider when choosing flooring for commercial projects,” said Samantha Lisi, vice president of commercial sales. “Karndean LooseLay is a solution that checks all the key boxes for our customers: dozens of stylish designs, the ability to create zoning, excellent performance and short installation times. LooseLay brings it all together in one product.”

Remove, reuse, reduce

LooseLay planks and tiles are easily removed – ideal for raised-access flooring, or if damaged by sliding furniture or heavy objects. Pieces also can be lifted and reused, ideal for temporary spaces like pop-up shops and tradeshow booths.

The ability to remove and reuse Karndean LooseLay – which comes with a 15-year commercial warranty – extends the product lifespan and makes it more sustainable. Durable, high-quality flooring reduces impact on the waste stream, as well as resources needed to manufacture, transport and install replacement flooring.

The right look for any space

With the addition of 13 designs inspired by wood from around the world, the Karndean LooseLay collection now includes 43 different colorways: 33 wood and 10 stone.
