After a company record of more than 800 new patents was granted to Välinge in 2019, the company’s patent portfolio today includes more than 3,100 granted patents. From an R&D perspective, 2019 was also an intensive year with 19 new patent families related to new materials, locking technologies for flooring, walls and furniture as well as surface technologies.

“We invest considerable resources in R&D to develop, test and patent new technologies that enhance customer experience while contributing to better and more durable products,” said Per Nygren, vice president, Välinge Innovation. “This is in the DNA of our company and one of the many reasons why companies worldwide choose to become a partner by signing a license agreement.”

In 2019, Välinge welcomed 25 new flooring licensees and 10 new furniture licensees. By actively supporting the company’s more than 230 licensees worldwide with start-up training, continuous on-site technical services and marketing, Välinge makes sure to shorten time-to-market and help the licensees stay at the forefront of the flooring and furniture industries.

“We look forward to a bright 2020 starting with the launch of several new technologies and solutions at trade fairs in Europe, North America and Asia,” Nygren said.

Meet Välinge at The International Surface Event, Jan. 28-30 2020, stand 437 and Domotex Shanghai, March 24-26 2020, stands E1C27 and N2DD45 to discover more about the Välinge IP portfolio and latest technologies.
