Holbrook, N.Y.—Lane Sales announced it has acquired representation of the Sphinx by Oriental Weavers Broadloom line for the New York, Connecticut and New Jersey marketing areas.  Two years ago, Sphinx introduced an extensive broadloom line of face-to-face patterned wiltons all manufactured and stocked in Dalton, Ga. Recently it added a full collection of 100% New Zealand Wool Axmininster carpets bringing their offering to over 40 broadloom styles.

“We want to have broadloom representative specialists, like Lane Sales,” said Pat Muschamp, vice president of sales, Sphinx. “We are elated to have Lane Sales on board. They have an outstanding reputation, are a very strong and highly professional group that are know for getting real sales results.”

Starting with one person covering just the New York City area, Lane Sales has grown to a sales agency group covering the Tri-State area. Most recently a hospitality sales division was added to Lane Sales targeting architects, designers and purchasing entities. “By having more locally concentrated salespeople than you would find in any other sales agency, we provide more concentrated coverage for the mills we represent,” said Larry Lane, president, Lane Sales. “Most importantly, we provide much better sales service to our dealers than they will typically.”
