TORONTO—The 10th annual Greenbuild may still be five months away, but considering how quickly the show continues to grow, officials are saying it is best to register early. As such, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), which runs the event, announced registration is now open.

Greenbuild 2011 is scheduled for Oct. 4 to 7 at the Toronto Convention Centre here. This will be the first time the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to green building will be held outside of the U.S.

“Greenbuild is the green building industry’s can’t miss event,” a USGBC official said. “It’s where you go to learn about what’s new in green building practices by seeing the latest technology and innovation in the exhibit hall and through the extensive educational sessions.”

She added Greenbuild is a onestop shop for credential maintenance. “From pre- or post-show LEED workshops to sector-specific summits, from green building tours to concurrent educational classes, most sessions at Greenbuild will be approved for continuing education credits for LEED and other professional credentials.”
