Karndean Designflooring has launched its new website at the dramatically redesigned site embodies Karndean’s forward–thinking vision and commitment to the growing needs of its customers. The new website features streamlined searching and more intuitive navigation, a more interactive platform using multimedia technology, and content-rich product descriptions and resources.

The site’s homepage welcomes visitors with new colors and an updated logo, a clean, uncluttered design, and moving images with current content. The website focuses on providing Karndean’s customers and potential customers with valuable information on the flooring product ranges offered. Website visitors can view these wood or stone-effect products in rooms, request samples and brochures, and download guides and resources.

“Our goal was to provide a user friendly solution for customers who are visiting our website and are looking for efficient, easy-to-use navigation to help them get to know Karndean and our products,” said Michael Lang, Senior Marketing Manager. “To streamline their journey on our site, we start the visitor off by presenting a clear path between residential and commercial content.  From there, we provide a variety of means by which they can quickly and easily find what they want.”

A new feature of the website enables homeowners to find a Karndean retail partner by entering their zip code or address.  The “Find a Retailer” function utilizes Google Map technology and will return a list of retailers selling Karndean within a 15 mile radius of that zip code.  Visitors are provided with the retailer’s name, address, telephone number, and if available, their website.

The re-engineered site has a separate section tailored for commercial flooring specifiers, architects and interior designers. There are downloadable tools like the Product Selector, technical data sheets, case studies of Karndean commercial installations, photography, installation guides and other technical data that the commercial user needs to specify Karndean’s flooring products in commercial environments.

The website redesign was part of a larger branding initiative which also included the adoption of the name Karndean Designflooring and a new logo. The updated brand inspired a new set of core values for Karndean, as well as a new tagline—Your Space, Your Needs, Your Style. All of the  branding efforts further highlight the company’s dedication to both creating beautiful and practical floors, while also supporting and focusing on its customers’ needs.

“The comprehensive restructuring of the website reflects and incorporates our new core values, all of which further our dedication to providing the customer with a quality product and exceptional service,” said Lang.

The website will continue to be a work in progress.  In the coming months, Karndean will be adding a new feature to the website that will provide visitors with the ability to select specific Karndean products and accessories and incorporate them into pre-selected room scenes, thereby giving them the ability to design their own custom floor.  Karndean will also have a more active presence across multiple social networks and incorporate a blog which will feature invaluable content covering topics such as events, flooring trends, Q&A, interviews with retailers and interior designers and much more.  The website will reflect this new social media presence in the addition of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest icons on all web pages for easier content sharing.
