HomeNewsAmerica chooses Karastan rug for DIY’s ‘Run My Renovation’ show

Dalton—Karastan’s Westridge Fog area rug was selected for a basement makeover on DIY’s “Run My Renovation,” the reality show where America votes online to design someone else’s home.

The half-hour episode called “Picture Perfect Basement” debuted Sept. 13 on the DIY Network and will air again this month.

In every episode of “Run My Renovation,” homeowners allow a room in their house to be completely transformed according to the whims of viewers, who vote online on everything from flooring to fixtures, cabinets to cooktops, and moldings to mantelpieces. The hosts of the DIY Network show are carpenter Joanie Dodds and licensed contractor John DeSilvia.

Westridge Fog, which is part of Karastan’s Knightsen collection, features relaxed traditional motifs and an updated color palette. It is progressive yet has a classic, heirloom appeal, noted Tammy Foubert, product manager for Karastan Rugs. Westridge Fog is woven on Wilton looms in the U.S. and constructed of premium quality two-ply nylon yarn.

“With its elegance, durability and easy maintenance, Westridge Fog is a great selection for turning a basement into a cozy and inviting living space,” Foubert explained. “We’re thrilled the viewers of ‘Run My Renovation’ selected this chic and livable Karastan rug.”
