Bamboo Hardwoods, a fast-growing industry leader of bamboo flooring and panel products and a part of the Aboeda family of companies, announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with The Cronin Company  as a new bamboo flooring distributor partner.  The Cronin Company is one of the Northwest’s leading independent wholesale distributors of fine flooring products and will exclusively represent Bamboo Hardwoods in Montana, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho and Washington.  This agreement further expands Bamboo Hardwoods’ existing distribution network, and offers a trusted name brand of bamboo flooring and coordinating accessories to Cronin’s respective network of flooring dealers.

“Cronin has an excellent reputation of integrity, quality, value and excellent service levels. We are excited to have them represent Bamboo Hardwoods,” said David Keegan, COO of Bamboo Hardwoods. “With such a well-known brand like Bamboo Hardwoods, especially in the Pacific Northwest, combined with Cronin’s long-standing reputation, we feel this partnership will greatly benefit both parties.”

The Cronin Company, a Portland-based business with roots in the flooring industry dating back to 1962, has a staff of 125 employees throughout eight branch operations, serving customers throughout western United States.  Cronin will exclusively represent the entire Bamboo Hardwoods flooring product line of transitions, engineered and solid bamboo flooring options.  “We’ve had a limited bamboo flooring offering but Bamboo Hardwoods greatly improves our position within the category,” said Tom Rodvelt, Wood Flooring manager at Cronin.  “We are already in conversations with customers about us carrying the Bamboo Hardwoods brand. They’re extremely excited that we now have a product line of this caliber.”

Offering 100 percent rapidly-renewable and FSC-certified bamboo, Bamboo Hardwoods’ products are well-respected with designers, architects and homeowners who prefer using environmentally-benign products that are both elegant and long lasting.  Known for quality bamboo products for over a decade, Bamboo Hardwoods offers a vast selection of colors and styles, with an assortment of matching accessories and transition pieces to complement a wide array of residential and commercial décor styles. Bamboo Hardwoods features engineered flooring with strand-woven construction; strips of bamboo are coated with resin, and then compressed under one hundred thousand tons pressure producing a very dense floor that is least-likely to dent, measuring over 3,000 on the Janka Hardness Scale.

“The addition of Bamboo Hardwoods’ products continues our long tradition of bringing superior flooring products to our marketplace,” adds Rodvelt.  “We were impressed with their product knowledge, overall support and commitment to providing a high-quality brand of bamboo flooring.”
