The Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) presents The South’s Next Wave: Design Challenge, a show that is part exhibition, part competition featuring more than 40 of the most cutting edge and important interior/object designers in the Southeast today.
MODA launched the exhibition with a Gala Preview on November 9th, 2012. The Preview Gala Honorary Chair is Suzanne Kasler. Exhibition Curators are David Goodrowe and Tim Hobby.

During the Gala Preview, MODA presented the Design Legend 2012 Award to Robert B. Currey, founder of Storehouse and Currey & Company. Currey has made a vital contribution to the Atlanta design community and the South since 1969; he is the first to receive the Design Legend Award, which will be presented annually by the museum. Honorees are chosen on the basis of design excellence, innovation, and contribution to their field of design both locally and nationally.
