St. Louis, Mo. The National Wood Flooring Association Certified Professionals (NWFACP) and Armstrong Floor Products have announced a dual-certification program for installers.

This dual certification opportunity will enable installers to build their credibility in the marketplace by holding certifications from two highly recognized entities.

“This partnership is a huge win for the industry as a whole,” said NWFA president and CEO Michael Martin. “Each certification program exists to ensure the best possible wood flooring installation. This partnership will build on the strengths of our individual programs, cultivating the best installers possible.”

The adoption of this program will raise the visibility of the NWFA Certified Professional Installers’ certification. More than 30 manufacturers have revised their installation guidelines to include a recommendation to use NWFACP when installing or using their wood flooring products.

“Based on professional training, this mutual recognition provides the wood flooring installer the unique opportunity to attain additional certification without having to repeat demonstration of their hands-on skills,” said Tim Provence, Armstrong Field Installation Services specialist in Western US and Canada. “Armstrong is proud to be associated with the NWFACP promoting installation professionalism, skills and knowledge.”
