Crossville, Tenn. — Crossville has signed on as a sponsor of Vision House Tucson, a sustainable demonstration home being built in the Armory Park del Sol neighborhood of Tucson as part of Green Builder Media’s Vision House series. Crossville—renowned for its sustainability standards and rigorous recycling programs—will provide all interior tile for the home.

John Wesley Miller is builder for Vision House Tucson and will work with architect Hank Krzysik on the project. Crossville joins a roster of national sponsors providing green materials and resources to make the house a reality.

A groundbreaking was held on March 25 on the building site. Arizona Congressman Ron Barber and Tucson mayor Jonathan Rothschild were among the speakers at the event. Ron Jones and Sara Gutterman, president and CEO of Green Builder Media respectively, also spoke, alongside Miller and Michael Katz, president of the Armory Park del Sol Neighborhood Association.

The home is anticipated to be complete by late summer 2013.

“Green Builder’s Vision House series is a spot-on match with not only Crossville’s commitment to environmental innovations and sustainable standards that push the envelope but also our commitment to grow our presence as a residential tile brand,” said Lindsey Waldrep, vice president of marketing for Crossville. “Vision House Tucson is our chance to be part of a meaningful story that shows that homes can be beautifully on trend and energy efficient and green. It connects us with other brands who share our priorities and puts us in front of green building pros who are looking for the best materials for their projects.”
