Carpet One provides members with new digital assets

Home News Carpet One provides members with new digital assets

Denver—At its recent summer convention here, Carpet One Floor & Home announced many new digital tools for its members. Each tool is designed to engage customers and drive more traffic to Carpet One stores.

Building upon a robust digital marketing strategy that encompasses everything from online advertising, lead management, mobile apps and social media, members were introduced to two new apps. The first is a consumer-facing app for guidance on cleaning carpet stains. The Stain First Aid app is available on both Apple and Android platforms. It allows the user to quickly find a stain and easily pull up cleaning instructions for over 50 carpet stains. Some stains also have video instructions.

The second app is for Carpet One Floor & Home store owners and sales professionals to help them engage with customers in store and collect email addresses more easily. Both apps can be accessed on both Apple and Android tablets and mobile phones.

“Most customers are willing to give you their email address, especially if you have something valuable to offer them in exchange,” said Terri Daniels, vice president of public relations for Carpet One Floor & Home. “In this case we’re offering easy access to valuable tools like our apps.”

In addition to mobile apps, Carpet One Floor & Home is making significant updates to the CarpetOne.com website and its member store websites. These updates will make the website more user friendly and offer the customer more information as they search for their new flooring. The new websites will also include enhanced product information pages including product reviews. Customers will be able to enter testimonials about their store experience and enter reviews on all the products in the product catalog.

The new member microsites will give members the ability to choose from multiple modules to fully customize their own microsite. They can add their own offers, video, store information, promotions, and more to create a site that tells their own story as a locally owned and operated store.

“The digital world changes quickly, so we are constantly looking for ways to improve our digital assets to better engage our customers,” said Jessica Correa, vice president of marketing for Carpet One Floor & Home. “By providing the expertise to manage a fully integrated digital and traditional marketing strategy, we can help our members, who don’t always have the resources, keep up with changing technologies.”

In January 2013, Carpet One launched its One Stop Digital program. The program now includes local listings management, reputation management, local website customizations, Google+ customizations and social media content management. Members enrolled in the One Stop Digital program have already seen significant increases in their organic rankings.

“The One Stop Digital package is designed to evolve and change over time in order to stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends without the member having to sign up for additional programs,” said Correa.
