Eton, Ga.—Mattex held a ground breaking recently for a new 365,000 square foot plant just outside Eton.
The plant will employ about 175 people, but company officials say there is room to double the amount of equipment.

The Murray County plant is the company’s first manufacturing facility in the U.S. and will be the company U.S. headquarters.

The company makes carpet and artificial grass backings, woven and unwoven geotextiles and polyolefin-based textiles.
The plant is scheduled to be open next summer.
