Home Press Release Armstrong wins four ADEX awards

Lancaster, Pa. — Armstrong Flooring has received three Platinum awards and one Silver award from the 2014 Awards for Design Excellence (ADEX). As the largest and most prestigious awards program for design of the last 20 years, ADEX recognizes products that promote innovation, durability, function and beauty.

“Armstrong is honored that our floor products represent the best designs of the year in the opinion of those at the top of their specialty,” said Mara Villanueva-Heras, vice president, marketing, Armstrong Floor Products. “Receiving these four awards is a testament to our industry-leading designs and innovations.”

Award Winners
Alterna Engineered Stone Tile, 2014 Platinum Award
Armstrong Alterna and Alterna Reserve capture the colors and textures of stone, quartz and slate. New Shapes and Sizes provide even more custom options. Alterna offers unique flooring patterns with more random, natural visuals, and provides even better performance attributes than natural stone.

American Scrape Hardwood, 2014 Platinum Award
Armstrong American Scrape features richly textured solid and engineered hardwood floors, made in the USA and inspired by the American landscape. Offered in domestic hickory and oak, everything about these floors has an American stamp – wide width planks, dramatic colors. A portion of sales benefit Homes for Our Troops.

Rustics Premium Laminate, 2014 Platinum Award
Rustic beauty from Armstrong Rustics Premium laminate collection offers standard and wide width plank designs with rustic textures, dramatic graining and natural aging to reflect the latest trends in hardwoods in three designs.

Architectural Remnants Laminate, 2014 Silver Award
Architectural Remnants pairs the look of high-end, reclaimed hardwoods with the benefits of laminate flooring, combining multiple species and colors in random widths and textures.  Imaging technology ensures true-to-life coloration; Embossed-in-Register provides realistic graining, texture and depth. Armstrong laminate floors are built around a core for stability, lasting durability and moisture protection.
