Export, Pa. – Karndean Designflooring has announced that CEO Ed Perrin has received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014 Award in the Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia program.

During a special gala event in Pittsburgh on June 20, 2014, Perrin was announced as the regional winner in the Manufacturing Category. The finalists were nominated by an independent panel of judges. As the regional winner of the award, Perrin is eligible for consideration for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the EY Entrepreneur of the Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif., on Nov. 15, 2014.

“This is not about me, it is about the team we have created at Karndean,” Perrin said. “It takes an organization of dedicated people with the pioneering spirit that can deliver the promise with integrity.”

The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Now in its 28th year, the program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities and 60 countries throughout the world.
