Lancaster, Pa.—Armstrong Residential Flooring has announced that Architectural Remnants Laminate Flooring has taken top honors in the 2014 Good Design awards.
Good Design is one of the world’s most recognized, prestigious and oldest design awards programs. It is organized annually by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.
The museum received submissions from several thousand leading manufacturers and industrial and graphic design firms from more than 48 countries. In October, the jury met in New York and Los Angeles and selected more than 700 product designs and graphics worthy of the Good Design Award for their excellence in design.
“We are excited that Architectural Remnants, one of our premium laminate products, has been chosen to receive this honor from Good Design,” said Mara Villanueva-Heras, Armstrong Residential Flooring. “This product offers extraordinary realism from the variety of graining to the innovative mix of colors and species. It looks so much like genuine, reclaimed vintage hardwood, but with the durability and easy care one associates with quality laminates. We are proud that we were recognized for the combination of innovation, form, function and fun so important to today’s homeowner.”
