Dalton, Ga.— As part of its annual sales meeting, Tandus Centiva partnered with West Zephyrhills Elementary, Joshua House and Sunrise Domestic Violence Shelter to offer service hours. Employees performed facility improvement tasks such as painting, new floor covering installation, assembling of playground equipment and gardening.
“Tandus Centiva strives to be a positive force in our local communities,” said Erin Istanbulluoglu, director of environmental and social stewardship for Tandus Centiva. “United in our team efforts, we were thankful and honored to have the opportunity to give back.”
Tandus Centiva Community Service Day began in 2009 as part of the company’s annual sales meeting. Rather than spend the day doing traditional team building exercises, the company selected teams to work together to benefit the hosting community. Each year, projects are identified and organized through various partnerships.
