King of Prussia, Pa. –City Floor Supply (formerly Philadelphia Floor Store) announced it will resume counter service at its new King of Prussia location on March 28. City Floor Supply had temporarily suspended counter service after a devastating fire leveled the company’s headquarters and distribution center in May of 2015.

Contractors will once again be able to purchase supplies on site. The machine repair shop, administrative offices, and portions of the pro shop remain under construction. A formal grand opening celebration is scheduled for mid-May.

According to Mike Glavin, founder and owner of City Floor Supply, “We are ahead of schedule on the construction of the pro shop, so we figured why not open it up to contractors who have been patiently waiting for the day when they can walk back in and pick up the hardwood floor supplies they need.”

While the company’s ability to ship nationally and delivery larger orders to the tri-state area resumed within a few weeks of the fire, counter service to the local contractor community was outside their control.
