HomeCOVID-19CFI cancels Build My Future – Flooring Edition
For many high school students, Build My Future – Flooring Edition was their first exposure to the installation trade.

CFI, the Certified Flooring Installers, has canceled its Build My Future – Flooring Edition, which was scheduled for April 14 in Plano, Texas.

“It is with our deepest regrets that CFI will be cancelling the second annual Build My Future: Flooring Edition this year due to the spread of the COVID-19 (coronavirus),” the organization said in a statement. “Although this event is very important to CFI, the safety of our trainers, volunteers and the students comes first.”

CFI said it would release more details later.

Last year’s inaugural event, held in Plano, Texas, which was co-sponsored by Informa/The Internal Surface Event (TISE), drew hundreds of high school students to participate in hands-on training and learn about the flooring installation trade.
