UltraWoodCalhoun, Ga.—Designers selected Mohawk’s UltraWood for homes on the CBS show “Secret Celebrity Renovation.” In the new CBS reality series, big names in sports, music and entertainment get the chance to gift a surprise home renovation to a loved one who helped guide them to success.

Chosen for the Wayne Brady and Eve segments, UltraWood is designed to offer the authentic, classic grain patterns only found in natural wood—but now with added durability and reliability. Featuring complete waterproof protection from surface to subfloor, UltraWood is also made to resist scratches, wear and dents.

“After working with the show’s design team and learning about the different spaces, the use of UltraWood’s Crosby Cove collection was the perfect choice for these deserving homeowners,” said Seth Arnold, Mohawk’s vice president of marketing, wood and laminate. “Launched this year, UltraWood will provide them with the high-performance they need along with genuine hardwood looks they can’t get anywhere else. We are excited to see the reveals and follow along to see what the stars participating in action during the renovation process.”

The show’s premier featured Wayne Brady, popular actor and talk show host of The Wayne Brady Show. Brady worked with host Nischelle Turner of Entertainment Tonight, contractor Jason Cameron of Man Cave and interior designer, Sabrina Soto, of Trading Spaces on his aunt’s home in Orlando, Fla. His aunt, alongside his grandmother, helped raise him and still hold a special place in Brady’s heart.

The second surprise makeover featuring UltraWood was for Eve, a Grammy-winning artist and talk show host, giving back to her mother in Philadelphia. As a single mother, she kept Eve from going down a troubled path and acted as a second mother to Eve’s friends. To show appreciation, Eve surprised her mother with innovative floors that are designed to last a lifetime.
