HomeCommercialMohawk expands resilient portfolio with UltimateFlex LVT

UltimateFlexCalhoun, Ga.—Mohawk is expanding its current resilient portfolio with repositioned UltimateFlex LVT. Designed with tenant-occupied and multifamily properties in mind, UltimateFlex is an ideal solution for consumers who want flexible flooring with Mohawk’s waterproof performance and EasyClean technology.

“With the consistent demand for rental properties, we are providing customers with a flooring option that will withstand whatever their tenants throw at it,” said Seth Arnold, Mohawk’s vice president of marketing, hard surface. “By breaking out Mohawk’s flexible LVT products into the repositioned UltimateFlex line, Mohawk is able to support a broader selection of consumers who desire styles that will attract tenants, while providing them an ease of maintenance and repair.”

UltimateFlex is available in multiple performance tiers, Essentials, Select and Plus, to provide hassle-free options for every budget. Featuring a 100% waterproof construction built to withstand everyday splashes and spills, UltimateFlex is an ideal flooring for all areas of the home. In addition to protection from everyday splashes, UltimateFlex is also made to withstand plank separation from heavy rolling loads and high foot traffic.

Rather than locking together, UltimateFlex is installed with a glue-down method, making it easy and inexpensive to replace individual planks, extending the life of the floor. Created with longevity in mind, the first performance tier of Essentials, features a 15-year residential warranty. The median performance tier, Select features a 20-year residential warranty and 5-year light commercial warranty. Completing the trade-up story, the Plus tier of UltimateFlex features a 25-year residential warranty, 10-year light commercial warranty, plus EasyClean enhanced wear and stain protection.

“UltimateFlex products give our retail partners an easy way to meet the demand of consumers with tenant-occupied properties,” said Adam Ward, Mohawk’s vice president of product management, resilient. “Its glue-down installation and waterproof construction make it an ideal choice for rental properties, or it’s great for those who live an active lifestyle but don’t want any additional hassle.”

The line will coordinate with Performance Accessories products that offer innovative, multifunctional transitions that are color coordinated for retailers to sell a complete flooring package in one purchase.
